    Baló Tour Internacional S.L. offers passenger flights in hot air balloons, a leisure activity in the tourist sector for individuals and groups. This consists of a flight over the area of Vic (Osona - Catalonia) or other areas of Catalonia (where such flights are permitted). Baló Tour Internacional specialises in passenger flights, which we have organised throughout Catalonia and Spain, as well as in many European countries, and in Asia and Africa. This activity is organised in tourist areas around the world, and obviously in Spain.

    Our company has gained an enviable reputation for the quality of our product, based on service and a personal and friendly treatment.

    For the majority of our passengers this will be their first balloon flight and we hope to deal with all your initial doubts:

    It is an active excursion which lasts a whole morning, beginning in the early morning (from 7.00a.m. in summer and from 9.00a.m. in winter) so as to avoid the maximum effects of the sun's heating of the atmosphere. It consists of a flight of more than an hour, followed by a typical lunch in one of the farmhouses which are characteristic of the area. Finally, passengers receive a Diploma, signed by the pilot, certifying their participation in the flight.

• A balloon flight is the safest means of flying and all necessary precautions are taken to ensure that safety is preserved. The flights are only undertaken when meteorological and atmospheric conditions, and forecasts, are good.
• Experience: our company was the first to be set up in Spain specifically to offer passenger flights, eight years ago. We have highly qualified and experienced pilots, in order to offer you a safe and enjoyable flight. All of them possess valid credentials issued by the Dirección General de Aviación Civil (Spanish Civil Aviation Department), and their Pilot's Licence.
• Insurance: we have policies covering Civil Responsibility and Passenger safety.
• Adventure: although travel agencies normally present our products as an adventure sport or activity, we take all possible precautions in order to ensure the risks are effectively nil.

    Far from how it may at first seem, this activity, which brings you into direct contact with nature, is very relaxing.

• For those who wish to fly, there is no age limit.
• All flights are undertaken in gentle wind conditions, allowing calm and enjoyable flights.

    This activity can be either for individuals or groups, and it is based on the following standard products:

PRODUCTS

1. Complete flight: this consists of a flight of some ninety minutes with the passengers distributed in one, two or three balloons. The price per passenger is 150 € ; children between six and twelve years old 95 € . Accompanied children under six years of age the price is 35 € . Meal and Diploma are included.
2. Flight with change of passengers: this consists of changing passengers at the midpoint of the flight (after approximately 40 or 45 minutes). Limited to groups with a minimum of 10 persons. The price per adult is 95 €.
3. Two Reservoir Traverse: this consists of taking off from near Sau Reservoir and flying at high altitude (2,000 or 3,000 m) as far as the areas of Pla de l'Estany, Garrotxa, Selva or Empordà. The price is 950 € per group, maximum 5 people.

• As with all open-air activities, balloon flights are subject to weather conditions. Hot air balloon flights are made early in the morning, especially in summer, in order to avoid the effects of turbulence produced by the sun's heating of the air. In winter, flying conditions are better, and flights may extend beyond the morning, though they will always begin early in the day.

Special weather conditions, such as rain, storms, snow, wind, etc., also impose limits on flying, or may make it impossible to fly.

The pilot, in all cases, is authorised to cancel a flight should weather conditions so require.

• Hot air balloons can not be steered, rather they move with the wind. Altitude control, however, is complete and a pilot's ability to select air currents at different heights makes it possible to direct the craft with surprising precision.

• Passengers must, at all times, obey the pilot's instructions.
• Passengers will help, when asked by the pilot, to inflate, and to gather up the balloon.
• Smoking is not allowed during the flight.
• Passengers will remain in the basket until the pilot indicates they may leave it.
• Passengers are recommended to wear casual clothes which are not too new (preferably trousers rather than skirts), sports shoes or boots, and not to carry jewellery, purses or handbags, etc.
• Passengers must understand all these requirements and will exonerate both the pilot and the company from any responsibility.
